Sami Zayn Pitched For Liv Morgan To Be In His Faction When He Started 'The Great Liberator' Persona

“The Great Liberator’ Sami Zayn believes in Liv Morgan.

Liv Morgan is the subject of a new documentary on WWE Network entitled “Liv Forever.” The documentary chronicles her journey in WWE, specifically following her from when the Riott Squad split up in the Superstar shake-up of 2019 through the reuniting of herself and Ruby Riott in the summer of 2020.

Largely, the documentary follows Liv Morgan searching for a place on the card in WWE as outside of one match with Charlotte Flair in 2019, Liv Morgan would not be seen on the SmackDown brand and would only resurface when she appeared on the final Monday Night Raw in 2019 and interrupted the wedding of Bobby Lashley and Lana.

The current WWE Intercontinental Champion, Sami Zayn gave feedback on the documentary via his Twitter and revealed that when he started his heel “Great Liberator” persona, he wanted Liv Morgan by his side, but instead she was drafted to Monday Night Raw. Sami Zayn would instead be paired with Shinsuke Nakamura and later add Cesaro to the fold.

Someone else who believes in Liv Morgan in WWE is Paul Heyman. In the documentary, he explains why that character is the perfect relatable character for the modern generation. You can read his comments here.
