The mixed tag team match is official.
AEW announced Shaquille O'Neal will team with Jade Cargill to battle Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet on the March 3 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Cody and Red Velvet made the challenge to Shaq and Cargill on the January 27 episode of AEW Dynamite. The following night on Inside The NBA, Shaq accepted, saying he was going to wrestle "Cupcake" Cody and finish him off with his new finishing move, the Black Tornado.
A date for the match was not made official until Wednesday's AEW Beach Break.
It's possible that the NBA All-Star game will be held on March 7 on TNT, which would conflict with AEW Revolution, which is also scheduled for March 7.
