Sheamus Believes Cesaro Deserves To Be World Champion; Says It's Up To Fans To Push For It

Sheamus praises his tag team partner.

Last year at this time, no one thought Becky Lynch and Kofi Kingston would be headlining WrestleMania 35 and winning World Titles. But through hard work and enough noise from the audience, WWE listened and put them in their respective spots. And Sheamus wants the crowd to do the same thing for Cesaro.

Speaking to Inside The Ropes, Sheamus discussed the possibility of Cesaro becoming a World Champion one day.

"I've always said, at least in the last couple of years, one title I haven't won is the Intercontinental Title. But I'd rather see (Cesaro) win the (World Title) than me win the Intercontinental Title. I'd rather see him be the World Champion. He deserves it," said Sheamus. "It's up to the fans. They make that decision. When they make enough noise about anything, the brass have to listen. It's just the way it is. Becky, Kofi. Getting to see (Cesaro), any of his singles matches tear it up. No one hits harder or works harder. I'm jealous when we're in the ring and I watch him do the athletic stuff. Not only is he athletic but he's probably the strongest guy, pound-for-pound in WWE, and the most innovative as well. And no one has more passion than him."

Cesaro looked to be in line for a big singles push following WrestleMania 30 when he won the first-ever Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, but he was soon put into a tag team with Tyson Kidd. Following Kidd's career-ending injury in 2015, a fan push was made for Cesaro to be elevated up the card with the debut of the Cesaro Section, but things soon died down and he was back in the tag team business, this time with Sheamus.
