Skyler Story, Formerly Brandi Lauren, Released By WWE

Skyler Story, formerly known as Brandi Lauren on the Independent scene, has been released by WWE.

Mike Johnson at PWInsider first reported the news, which was confirmed by Fightful.

Lauren was part of the summer signings when WWE purchased EVOLVE. She was announced as part of the October 2020 WWE Performance Center recruiting class. She never debuted on television with the name Skyler Story.

At the time of her signing in October 2020, WWE wrote about her, "Brandi Pawelek, known on the independents as Brandi Lauren, is an exciting competitor who has stepped in the ring for promotions like EVOLVE and SHINE."

Lauren made brief appearances on WWE television in 2020 including in Raw Underground segments, as one of the hot tub girls who celebrated Damian Priest's NXT North American Title victory, and in the WWE NXT Women's Title #1 Contendership Battle Royal in September 2020.

Lauren, who has already changed her social media, posted the following message on social media after her release was reported:
