Sonya Deville: Acting Is Where My Heart Is, I Would Love To Be The Female Rock Or John Cena

In February, Sonya Deville signed with Imagine Artist Management in an effort to branch out into acting.

Deville is a cast member on "Total Divas" and is a regular on WWE SmackDown, but she has previous acting credits in smaller television series and movies dating back to 2011.

Speaking to Stephanie Chase at Digital Spy, Deville expressed her desire to do more acting in the future.

"Acting is definitely where my heart's at. Recently I've been going out to LA and trying to just dive into Hollywood. It's something that coincides well with WWE with the likes of John Cena and The Rock being super successful in both and I would love to be a female that can do the same. That's definitely my goal and that's going to be what I'm focusing on, on top of wrestling, over the next few years," she said.

Deville joined the cast of "Total Divas" as a main character for season nine. On the show, her relationship with her girlfriend Arianna is highlighted. Deville believes the show helps showcase women in WWE in a different way.

"It's a great platform and it's really allowed the girls over the years to enhance their characters outside of what you see on TV every week. Not only do we get Sonya Deville but you get to know a little bit more about the real me and see the more vulnerable, softer side of who I am and I think it's a great opportunity," she said.

Deville is currently part of the SmackDown brand where she is involved in the love triangle with Mandy Rose, Dolph Ziggler, and Otis.
