IMPACT Wrestling held their final set of television tapings on Tuesday in Las Vegas. During the tapings, the company announced the main event for their Homecoming special on Jan. 6.

At Homecoming, Johnny Impact will defend the IMPACT World Title against Brian Cage. Cage relinquished the X Division Title, using his Option C clause, to get the title shot. In the final segment of the taping, Impact and Cage lost to the Lucha Bros when accidentally hit Cage. The match and angle will likely serve as the go-home angle on IMPACT prior to Homecoming.
Tension was teased between the two men during the second night of tapings when Cage saved Impact and his wife Taya Valkyrie from an attack at the hands of Killer Kross and Tessa Blanchard.
