Taya Valkyrie Says She Would Go To AEW, Comments On Competing In The Owen Cup

Taya Valkyrie is currently a free agent after being released by WWE on November 4.

Valkyrie has a couple of dates lined up, including AAA and Zicky Dice's Outlandish Paradise, and fans are wondering if and when she'll sign with a major US promotion.

During an East Coast Auctions signing, Valkyrie was asked about potentially going to AEW.

"Of course, I would go to AEW. They are doing something different, a lot of my peers and best friends, my brothers Fenix and Pentagon are over there. Why not? We'll see what happens," she said.

Also on the subject of AEW, Valkyrie was asked about competing in the Owen Hart Cup. She said about potentially competing in the tournament, "As a Canadian, I definitely think I should be in the Owen tournament."

Valkyrie mentioned Allie (The Bunny) as another Canadian signed to AEW who could be in the tournament, saying the tournament should have some more Canadian flavor.

Later during the signing, Valkyrie was asked about returning to IMPACT and her future in general. She replied, "You'll have to wait. I promise you, everything will play out in the best way possible. I just know that I'm taking my time to figure out what the best place is for me, for my family, what will make me happy. It's going to be well worth the wait."

Valkyrie was part of IMPACT from 2017 to 2021 and is the longest-reigning Knockouts Champion for a single reign.

Valkyrie is set to take on Thunder Rosa at Zicky Dice's Outlandish Paradise on January 15. Fightful will have results from the event following its conclusion.
