Taya Valkyrie Sets Mark For Longest Ever IMPACT Knockouts Title Reign

Taya Valkyrie sets a new benchmark.

Over the weekend, current IMPACT Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie set the mark for the longest ever IMPACT Knockouts Title reign. Valkyrie has held the championship for 281 days and counting, beating Taryn Terrell's 279-day reign in 2014.

Valkyrie won the Knockouts Title on January 6, 2019, at IMPACT Homecoming, defeating Tessa Blanchard in singles competition.

Though Valkyrie just passed the mark according to a calendar, IMPACT Wrestling has celebrated Valkyrie's record-setting reign for over a month. On the Aug. 30 episode of IMPACT, Valkyrie defeated Big Mami in her "last defense before setting the record."

Valkyrie has since defended the title against Rosemary at IMPACT Victory Road on Sept. 14. Valkyrie's reign includes victories over Jordynne Grace, Madison Rayne, Blanchard, and more.

She is set to defend the Knockouts Title this Sunday, Oct. 20 at IMPACT Bound For Glory against Tenille Dashwood.
