The opening match of the 2026 NXT Great American Bash Premium Live Event saw Tony D’Angelo defend against former IWGP Heavyweight Champion NARAKU, f.k.a. EVIL.

It was NARAKU’s first WWE Premium Live Event match, and it was D’Angelo’s fourth defense of the NXT Championship.

The bout started with D’Angelo spearing NARAKU through a wall.

Closing out the bout was D’Angelo putting NARAKU away with the ‘Dead to Rights’ finisher.
