Triple Threat Match For Universal Title Confirmed For Royal Rumble

It'll be the battle of the big men next month at the Royal Rumble.

Kurt Angle made the announcement tonight to kick off Monday Night Raw that Brock Lesnar will defend his Universal title against Braun Strowman and Kane in a triple threat match. This is a result of last week's finish to a match between Braun Strowman and Kane, where they brawled outside of the ring to a double count out. Despite Braun Strowman getting the better of Kane at the end of last week's show, both men will instead vye for the championship.

The announcement abruptly ended after a brawl ensued between the three, with Brock Lesnar standing, despite Kane rising up after an F5.

Nothing else has been announced for the show thus far other than the annual Royal Rumble match, which is currently slated to stand at 30 entrants.

Royal Rumble will take place on January 29 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We will have full coverage of the event, including live results and a post show podcast following the event.
