The return of Ultimate X.
On Thursday's edition of IMPACT Wrestling, the company announced that Ultimate X will return to crown a new X Division Champion at Homecoming on Jan. 6. The X Division title was vacated last week on IMPACT when Brian Cage cashed in his Option C clause to get an IMPACT World Title shot at Johnny Impact. Participants for the bout have yet to be announced.
The last Ultimate X match took place on May 18, 2017 on an episode of IMPACT Wrestling. On that night, Low Ki defeated Andrew Everett and Trevor Lee. The X Division Title has not been decided in an Ultimate X bout since September 1, 2016 when DJZ defeated Trevor Lee, Andrew Everett, Rockstar Spud, Mandrews and Braxton Sutter.
IMPACT Wrestling Homecoming takes place on Jan. 6 from The Asylum in Nashville, Tennessee. Fightful will provide live coverage of the event. Here's a look at the announced card thus far:
