- Carlito made a surprise entrance at number eight. He last wrestled in WWE in 2010.
- Damian Priest from NXT entered at number 14. This was his first-ever WWE Royal Rumble.
- Kane made a surprise entrance at number 18. This marked his 18th Royal Rumble appearance, more than anyone in WWE history. He had not wrestled since 2018.
- Hurricane Helms made a surprise entrance at number 23. He previously made a surprise appearance in the 2018 Royal Rumble.
- Christian made a surprise entrance at number 24. He retired in 2014. This marked his first Royal Rumble since 2005.
- Seth Rollins made his return at number 29. This marked his first appearance since WWE Survivor Series.
