WWE provides an update on Johnny Wrestling.
Johnny Gargano hasn't competed since December 30, 2022, and WWE has now revealed why. In a short announcement on the January 9 edition of WWE Raw, commentators Corey Graves and Kevin Patrick revealed that Johnny Gargano is currently suffering from a Grade 2 AC sprain. It was not made clear when the injury was sustained.
Gargano quickly commented on his injury in a Tweet:
Gargano's wife Candice LeRae would also go on to provide an update, noting that her husband just needs to get back to 100%.
After giving an update on her husband, LeRae revealed that she plans to win this year's Royal Rumble. Rhea Ripley would interrupt LeRae shortly after and tell her that she planned on winning the Rumble instead. The two went on to agree to a match later on in the show.
