Jim Ross Talks 205 Live and Women's Division

Jim Ross is a fan of WWE's Cruiserweight and Women's division but has concerns.

On Tuesday, WWE premiered 205 Live on WWE Network. The show features wrestlers from the newly reintroduced Cruiserweight division. In his Wednesday blog, Ross commented on the presentation of 205 Live but expects to see more personality from the roster.

The Undertaker: Roman Reigns Had A Phenomenal Run, There Was Really Good Storytelling

Ross wrote: "I think I'm going to enjoy the announce team even though I'm not a huge fan of three man teams. Adding Austin Aries to the mix with Mauro Ranallo and Corey Graves worked for me. Looking forward to seeing how the TV personas of the Cruiserweights evolve. This is the key to this brand making a significant splash that many of us hope it will be. We know that these men can wrestle but who are they and why should I care about them?"

The first episode of 205 Live featured a tag match won by the Bollywood Boyz, a brother team of Indian descent, a singles match starring the incorrigible Jack Gallagher, and a WWE Cruiserweight Title match, where Rich Swann defeated Brian Kendrick to become the new Cruiserweight Champion.

The night prior on Raw, Sasha Banks won the Women's championship from Charlotte Flair. Ross loved the match and performance but worries about wear on the two young talents.

Ross wrote "The Women's title bout was a good story and well executed although I often times am concerned about the risks the ladies take in the ring and more specifically outside the ring as it relates to their personal health. Are there too many title changes?"

Banks and Flair have exchanged the title five times and are the only two wrestlers to have held it. The title was created at Wrestlemania 32. Ross also blogged about Smackdown, American Alpha and The Rock's Sports Illustrated cover.
