Gilbert Melendez Faces Arnold Allen At UFC 239

A featherweight division has been announced for UFC 239 by the UFC Canada Twitter page as Gilbert Melendez is going to be in action against Arnold Allen.

Melendez (22-7-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a four fight losing streak and he hasn’t picked up a victory in almost five years. Melendez has twice before challenged for the UFC Lightweight Title, losing to the duo of then champions Ben Henderson and Anthony Pettis. Melendez has won just one of four bouts at UFC pay-per-view events, with that lone win coming over Diego Sanchez at UFC 166.
