A featherweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 244 as Weber Almeida faces Salim Mukhidinov.
MMA Fighting first reported the bout, which is expected to be a part of the preliminary card.
Almeida (3-0-0) has already picked up two wins under the Bellator MMA banner, with those coming over Odan Ruiz and Castle Williams. Almeida?s lone appearance outside of Bellator MMA came at a Brutality MMA event in September of 2015, where he defeated Bruno Senna by first round TKO. Almeida has competed a total of three times as a professional MMA fighter and none of those bouts went the distance.
Mukhidinov (7-4-0) has won just one of two in Bellator MMA competition, with that lone win coming over Adel Altamimi at Bellator 229. Mukhidinov hasn?t earned a victory in almost a year, as the win Bellator 229 took place in October of last year. Mukhidinov has competed a total of 11 times as a professional MMA fighter and five of those encounters went to the judges scorecards.
Bellator 244 takes place on Friday, September 21 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Ryan Bader and Vadim Nemkov headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
