Tyron Woodley is not being cut from the UFC, despite what appeared to be a cryptic Snapchat teasing his release.
Woodley appeared to publish a cryptic tweet with nothing but the word "cut." This sparked talk of his potential release from the UFC; however, both Woodley and his manager Malki Kawa rejected the scenario.
BREAKING: Former #UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley appears to have announced he’s been cut from the promotion on SnapChat.— Chisanga Malata (@Chisanga_Malata) December 23, 2020

Kawa insisted Woodley was still with the promotion. The former UFC welterweight champion subsequently claimed the Snapchat was Photoshopped in a post on his Instagram Story.
Tyron woodley did not get cut. Not sure what’s on his snap, but he did not post that.— malki kawa (@malkikawa) December 23, 2020
Not really interesting brotha. Next time call and confirm instead of doing something this stupid. https://t.co/BKA1Q584Yc— malki kawa (@malkikawa) December 23, 2020
Woodley is currently on a three-fight losing streak, including his most recent loss to Colby Covington back in September, and has not won since defending his title for the last time vs. Darren Till in 2017.
Dana White has teased that as many as 60 fighters will be cut from the UFC by the end of 2020.
