Speedball Mike Bailey thinks it’s time for him to move forward from Kevin Knight since the pair split as a tag team.
Over the past few months, Bailey has been at a crossroads in their AEW career, having been turned on by their former tag team partner in Kevin Knight earlier this year.
While speaking in their latest vlog, Speedball Mike Bailey reflected on their past couple of months, noting it is time for him to move forward from Kevin Knight and to ‘get their groove back’
“Alright, we did it. Another great Collision victory teaming with some of the best luchadors in the world. It’s working. It’s doing it for me. The plan is working. I feel re-energized. I feel locked in. I feel ready to go. I feel that it’s time to make some big moves, to take on some big challenges. To reach some big goals, friends, it’s been a rough couple of weeks for me and I wasn’t at Forbidden Door. A lot of people pointed that out and I wasn’t on Double or Nothing either. I don’t know if you guys can hear the fuck Don Callis chants going on right now, just pointing those out, but I think at Dynasty I may have made some mistakes, I’m not sure what those mistakes are exactly, and maybe that’s what I have to discover, but they led to me not winning the TNT Championship, which at the time, I was ecstatic, I was so happy for Kevin, and maybe that was a mistake. I believed in Kevin, I like Kevin, I still do. I have nothing against Kevin. I was glad he won the TNT Championship, but then, you know, his reaction to us not being on Double or Nothing feels a little out of proportion to go and attack Darby, attack me, and join the Don Callis Family. But that’s in the past now, and we’re moving forward, and I think, getting my groove back, and I think it’s time to move forward.”
Previously, Bailey noted that they understood Knight’s reasoning for turning on them. You can read more about that here.
