May 10th is Mother’s Day in the United States, and over the years, many wrestlers have detailed how their family members, namely their parents, have reacted to the news that their child wanted to become a pro wrestler in the industry.
While speaking in a new video posted to AEW’s social media as part of celebrating Mother’s Day, Adam Copeland shared how his mother reacted, noting that she warned him to not break his nose and to keep his teeth.
“Yeah, I think like any mother, you know, there was some concern. But it was always like, ‘please don’t break your nose and try and keep your teeth.’ So far, I have.”
FTR’s Dax Harwood also shared an old story about his mother’s first time attending a show where he wrestled.
“The first time my mom ever saw me as a wrestler, live, she came to the show. at the event and I was outside fighting the guy outside of the ring and the guy hit me and I moved away to get away from the hit and all of a sudden I didn’t feel any more hits and I turned around to look and my mom was on his back choking him and punching him in the side of the head.”
