TNA is airing a "Live" episode of Impact Wrestling tonight on Pop, which will actually be broadcast on one hour tape delay, as well as one of their "One Night Only" PPVs on Friday night as well. One major star who will not be appearing on either show is Drew Galloway.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Galloway isn't scheduled to be at this round of tapings until January 7 due to a conflict with a previously scheduled booking with What Culture Pro Wrestling (WCPW) in the UK, where he is their current Heavyweight Champion. Galloway has had to change dates on them in the past and he doesn't want to do that again, since he's been treated so well by the British company.
Galloway's contract with TNA is up next month, and there's been interest from promotions such as Ring of Honor and New Japan. If he were to stay with TNA, they'd ask him to sign an exclusive deal. This wouldn't be good news for the British Independent companies (such as WCPW), since they'd have to start going through the TNA office to try to book him, and if TNA does start running live event dates, as has been suggested, his services would be very difficult to procure.
Galloway, who was formerly known as Drew McIntyre in WWE, is a former TNA Champion.
