What a way to keep the ball rolling during the show.
During the NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool pre-show, footage was shown of former PROGRESS World Champion Travis Banks entering the Empress Ballroom and being blindsided by his TakeOver opponent Jordan Devlin. It was made clear that Banks would still be competing but when it was time for the match between Jordan Devlin and Banks to begin, Devlin attacked Travis from behind once more. NXT UK GM Johnny Saint and his assistant Sid Scala were disappointed in Devlin but they were aware he would pull the move that he did so they had a back up plan in store in the form of former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor who also trained Jordan Devlin in their home-country of Ireland.
Finn Balor showed Jordan Devlin that the teacher is always ahead of the student and defeated Devlin with the "Coup de Grace" to pick up the victory at TakeOver: Blackpool.
