Impact Wrestling Vice President Says Ethan Carter III Is Replaceable

Scott D'Amore says Impact Wrestling will survive losing one of their biggest stars.

Ethan Carter III returned to WWE in January in the crowd at NXT Takeover: Philadelphia after leaving Impact Wrestling where he was featured in their main event for years. In an interview with Metro, Impact Wrestling Vice President  Scott D'Amore said some people think Carter is irreplaceable but he disagrees.

"The talent we?ve been bringing in have been signing one or two year deals. People are always scared of change. EC3 was a great talent, but people are talking as if he?s irreplaceable. What was he before he came to Impact Wrestling? He was a guy who had been in developmental and never really panned out," said D'Amore.

Other Impact Wrestling stars have left and joined WWE, including some top WWE names. D'Amore says the company has a history of turning wrestlers into more than what they were before Impact Wrestling.

"You look historically at this company and the people who have come here and built a reputation, and when they leave, people think they?re irreplaceable. Well, what was Bobby Roode before he came here? Or Eric Young, or AJ Styles?," said D'Amore.

In the rest of the interview, D'Amore and other Impact officials discussed the regime changes at Impact Wrestling, the short time they were called Global Force Wrestling, and the change from Spike Tv to Pop Tv.
