In a new interview with Cultaholic, Leeper went into detail and named a number of games that he drew inspiration from for his work on Fight Forever.

“Yeah, so I went back and played a lot of the older wrestling games, the Aki [corporation] games and the old Yukes PS2 games and got a flavor for those. I would say Persona, the RPG series, is something near and dear to my heart and Kenny’s heart and that’s all about building relationships when you’re not in dungeons, it’s more fun to go to a movie with someone or play darts with a group or something, as opposed to just doing the random battles that happen in RPG. Yakuza as well, Yakuza does a great thing of taking a pretty small space and giving you a lot of varied gameplay in it. Those are the ones that I think I was basing it on if I could.”

Fight Forever is currently available to purchase on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Elsewhere in the interview, Leeper talked about potentially expanding the Road To Elite mode in the future. Fans can learn more by clicking here.
