Maria Kanellis Says She Has Not Asked For Her WWE Release

Maria Kanellis isn't going anywhere.

On Monday afternoon, Mike Kanellis took to social media to inform fans that he had requested his release from WWE. Mike and his wife Maria signed new five-year deals in June, which Kanellis is looking to get out of as he doesn't want to sit on the sidelines in WWE.

On Tuesday, Maria took to Instagram to clear up any misconceptions about her status and reveal that unlike her husband, she has not requested her release from the company.

Mike and Maria were involved in a "who is the father?" storyline centered around Maria's real-life pregnancy that has seemingly been dropped with neither appearing on television in recent weeks. 

WWE has yet to grant Mike his release.
