Motion Requesting Evidence Be Released To The Public In Sonya Deville Case Denied

Sonya Deville will be getting a little bit of privacy during her trying times.

According to PWInsider, The Hillsborough County Court ruled on August 24 they would not release any evidence to the public before the hearing in regards to Sonya Deville's case against her stalker Phillip Thomas.

The court denied a motion from local Florida media requesting that the evidence in the Sonya Deville stalking case be released to the public. The evidence is listed as video footage, messages sent to Deville via Instagram, photos taken outside and inside her home, and other online communication.

A motion was also filed requesting confidentiality for the victims. The motion revealed that Deville received additional online threats from "unknown persons" since Thomas was arrested on August 16.

Deville appeared in court last week to testify against. He has been charged with aggravated stalking, armed burglary of a dwelling, attempted armed kidnapping, and criminal mischief. He is currently being held without bail.

Deville is currently off WWE television after losing a Loser Leaves WWE match to Mandy Rose at WWE SummerSlam.
