NXT Takeover: Philadelphia Confirmed By WWE

NXT has their next Takeover event scheduled for just two months away.

At Saturday night's NXT Takeover: WarGames, the company confirmed that they would run an event Royal Rumble weekend in January in Philadelphia, the site of the aforementioned Rumble. The show will take place at the Wells Fargo Center on January 27.

Upcoming NXT Takeover events are tentatively scheduled for April 7 in New Orleans at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Brooklyn on August 18 at the Barclays Center, and next November 17 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

NXT will move away from their standard of Full Sail University for a set of upcoming television tapings in favor of Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia to start 2018. Triple H noted on a conference call this week that Full Sail remains WWE's home, but due to scheduling conflicts and Full Sail growth, a change was made for the time being.

WWE hasn't ran an NXT Takeover event at Full Sail since June of 2016, opting for bigger venues and the ability to sell more tickets. However, attendance was much lower for Saturday night's NXT Takeover: WarGames than WWE had hoped and expected.
