Becky Lynch Denies Report That She Signed $1 Million Per Year Deal In 2019

Becky Lynch reportedly signed a new contract with WWE, worth $1 million per year, in 2019. It is unclear the exact time Lynch signed a new deal.

The news of Becky's deal was reported by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, who noted that all new deals are five-years in term, though the length of Lynch's contract was not confirmed. Meltzer reported the contract news in reference to Lynch tweeting, "It’s amazing what they’ll give you when you remind them your contract is coming up soon" on Dec. 30.

Lynch has previously said "nothing but work" gets done on social media, hinting that she stays in-character to advance storylines or build angles. The tweet about her contract, which was also referenced on WWE television, was done as a way to give Lynch her one-on-one bout against Asuka for the Raw Women's Title at Royal Rumble. She would later follow up and respond directly to this Fightful article and Meltzer's report, denying the claims.

WWE has been on a signing spree in recent months, locking up talents such as Paige, The Miz, The New Day, The Street Profits, and Dana Brooke with new long-term deals. There are still a few looming free agents, including Matt Hardy and the Revival, the latter of which Fightful Select has an update on.
