Rey Mysterio will finally wrestle for New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Earlier this year, Rey Mysterio Jr was pulled from the New Japan Pro Wrestling event Strong Style Evolved because of an injury. During the event, he appeared and said he would eventually wrestle for the promotion. On Monday, NJPW announced Mysterio will be on the card at Dominion. On Twitter, it was shared he would be appearing at the event.
On the NJPW English language website, they have the other matches announced for Dominion but also have Mysterio slated for a match. The website says Mysterio is "set for action" but gives no opponent for the former WWE Champion. The match will be Mysterio's first match for the promotion.
Like Chris Jericho who is also on the card, Mysterio has been able to appear a couple times in the WWE ring this year while continuing to wrestle for other promotions like NJPW.
Dominion will take place on June 9th at the Osaka Jo Hall in Osaka, Japan. Fightful Wrestling will have coverage and results for the event.
