Roman Reigns Talks About A Potential Full Shield Reunion

Roman Reigns was a guest on ESPN Sportscenter this morning and he talked about his match last night at SummerSlam, the Big Beef 4-Way between Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe, a knock-down, drag-out free for all that Reigns said left him feeling like he had just played a full 60 minute football game

The conversation also turned to his former Shield brothers, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, who captured the Raw Tag Team Titles by defeating Sheamus & Cesaro. He was asked if he'd like to join the party and stage a full on Shield reunion. Reigns said while he's not opposed to that, he's got other goals on his plate at the moment.

"The main thing for me right now, I've been in that Universal title picture," Reigns said. "You can ask Seth or Dean, if they were able to be in that same situation, that's what you go for. You want to have that top title, and that's definitely it."

But Roman knows that being the Tag Team Champs ain't too shabby, either.

"I'm super proud of those guys, they exemplified what makes the Shield so special (last night). The teamwork and just that brotherhood of just going out there and getting it done - not for yourself, but for the man next to you. It really showed why when we came in, why we were so special."

Roman says he's open to the possibility getting the band back together, if for no other reason than it would be easier on his body than having to go up against Lesnar, Strowman, and Joe, whom he calls "those meatballs."

"Hopefully in the near future maybe. Not only to prolong my career maybe, because it does take it out of you running into those meatballs for 30 minutes at a time, but there's just some kind of magic when the three of us get together and we're just moving on all cylinders. It always seems to be a great time for the crowd."
