SPOILER: Rey Mysterio's Return Date To WWE

On Sept. 19, Rey Mysterio signed a new two-year deal with WWE.

If you want to know when you can expect to see him back on television, read below.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, and first reported by WrestleVotes, Mysterio is set to return to WWE television at SmackDown 1000 on Oct. 16 in Washington, DC. Days before Mysterio re-signed with the company, WWE social media teased a dream match between Mysterio and current WWE Champion AJ Styles.

The former World Champion has made two appearances for WWE this year. First, he was a surprise entrant in the 2018 Royal Rumble in January. He returned in April as an entrant in the Greatest Royal Rumble in April. He has not been a regular on WWE television since 2014.

His last Independent date was on Sept. 2 for Warrior Wrestling in Chicago. Prior to that, he wrestled in the main event at All In.

Along with Mysterio's return, SmackDown 1000 is set to feature the return of Dave Batista and Evolution as well. Fightful will provide full coverage of SmackDown 1000 on Oct. 16.
