Three teams have advanced in the 2021 Men's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
On Wednesday's NXT, The Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake), MSK (Nash Carter & Wes Lee) and Undisputed ERA (Adam Cole & Roderick Strong) all advanced past the first round in the 2021 Men's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
In the first bout of the tournament, Grizzled Young Veterans knocked off Ever-Rise. The finish saw Grizzled Young Veterans hit Ticket To Mayhem. Drake & Gibson will meet the victors of Johnny Gargano & Austin Theory vs. Kushida & Leon Ruff in the second round of the tournament.
In the second tournament bout of the night, MSK made an impressive debut as they knocked off Isaiah 'Swerve' Scott and Jake Atlas. MSK is comprised of Nash Carter (Zachary Wentz) and Wes Lee (Dezmond Xavier), better known as The Rascalz in IMPACT Wrestling. They will face the victors of Killian Dain & Drake Maverick vs. Curt Stallion & August Grey in the second round.
In the main event of the evening, Undisputed ERA (Adam Cole & Roderick Strong) picked up the victory over Breezango (Tyler Breeze & Fandango) when Cole caught Fandango with a superkick as he was coming off the top rope. Undisputed ERA will take on the winners of Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari vs. Desmond Troy & Ashante Adonis in the second round.
