WWE's trademark application for "EC3" was abandoned on Jan. 25. WWE failed to respond to a notice of initial refusal, which was issued on July 24, 2019. WWE had six months to respond. They initially filed for the trademark on June 21, 2019.
WWE placed the following description on the trademark:

The trademark was refused as EC3 has previously applied for the trademark on December 15, 2017 with the registration going through on April 23, 2019.

EC3 last wrestled on the September 30, 2019 episode of WWE Main Event, teaming with Eric Young in a loss to Lucha House Party. He has been sidelined since then with a reported concussion.
