ZARIA Scores Victory Over Tatum Paxley To Retain NXT Women’s North American Title At Great American Bash

ZARIA’s first defense of the belt was at the Great American Bash.

The second match of the night at NXT Great American Bash 2026 was ZARIA’s first defense of the Women’s North American Championship. She put the title on the line against Tatum Paxley.

Paxley’s reign as Women’s North American Champion ended when she was defeated by ZARIA in early June.

The backend of the bout saw ZARIA hit Paxley with an F-5, which Paxley kicked out of. ZARIA proceeded to start whaling at the back of Paxley’s head while she was laid out on the mat. She then lifted Paxley for another F-5, and that was able to secure her the win.

Before Great American Bash went live on The CW, Fightful Select reported that internally at WWE, a main roster call-up for Tatum Paxley had been discussed.
