Dean Ambrose's Advertised "Last Match In WWE" Never Begins; Ambrose Gets Post-Raw Send-Off

Dean Ambrose laid out in what could be his final WWE television appearance.

WWE advertised tonight's match between Dean Ambrose vs. Bobby Lashley as Ambrose's "Last Match In WWE." The only problem? The match never got underway. Prior to the bout, Lashley stated that he would take care of Ambrose's wife, Renee Young, while he was gone. This led to an immediate brawl between the two and the match never officially beginning. Ambrose and Lashley fought up the ramp and into the commentary area, where Lashley hit a spinebuster through the announce table on Ambrose.

Renee checked on her husband as the crowd chanted "Thank You Ambrose," believing this will be the last time they see The Lunatic Fringe on WWE television.

It was reported in January that Ambrose would not be renewing his contract with WWE when it expires in April. Ambrose has been kept off television since losing a Last Man Standing match to Drew McIntyre on the Mar. 25 episode of Raw, which is his official last match on WWE television, assuming he does not work another date. His last actual match took place on Mar. 31 at a live event in Pennsylvania.

Following Raw, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns met with Dean Ambrose in the ring to give him a proper send-off.
