DDP Explains Issues With Dan LeBatard, Former Mancow Appearance

Diamond Dallas Page is a WWE Hall of Famer for his work inside the ring, but his work outside the ring will be his true legacy. It doesn't always go the way he plans, however.

Earlier this year, the former WCW Champion Page was in the news following an appearance on Dan LeBatard. On the show, LeBatard asked Page about his relationship with Scott Steiner, who in the past DDP has had beef with stemming from a fight that happened while in WCW. DDP noted that he and Steiner's friendship was fine, but thought LeBatard was trying to get him to spit negativity.

Page then went “You can’t mess me up, dude. Are you serious?” Le Batard starts yelling “Who tore out whose eyes? Did you try to tear out his eyes, or did he try to tear out your eyes?” And he keeps talking over Page until Page goes “Hey, monkey. Monkey. Yo, monkey. Who the hell do you think you’re talking to?” Le Batard goes “He tried to tear out your eyes!” and Page responds “Monkey, who the hell do you think you’re talking to? I’m Positively Page! You think I’m going to sling your garbage? Unfuckingbelievable! Fuck you!” And he hangs up.

On this week's List and Ya Boy Podcast, Dallas spoke of the situation with LeBatard.

"He is such an asshole. People occasionally try to get under your skin and get you to react. I would be like 'Do you know who you're talking to? I'm Positively Page, I'm not gonna go there,'" Page recalled, before saying that LeBatard would hit the mute after he said "Do you know who you're talking to?"

Page recalled a situation with infamous shock jock Mancow, which resulted in a major disagreement between the two that caused a little bad blood.

"I never do interviews with shock jocks unless I'm right there. I never do interviews with Mancow unless I'm right there, and today we're really good buddies. But I was good buddies with him when he started screwing with me and I didn't do his show for years," said Page.

Page admitted that he finally went back to the show, but only because good friend Roddy Piper went as well.

"They had a great time, then I came out, and (Mancow) started busting my balls. It's not just the radio, there's a camera for CBS. He had a local radio station that aired his show. So I said 'You've been blowing Piper the last...,'" which led to Mancow freaking out and trying to calm DDP down. Page said that it was all in good fun and that he and Mancow regained their friendship after the show.
