Steve Maclin Recalls Singing 'I Don't Want To Miss A Thing' With Elijah In Front Of Dusty Rhodes

Steve Maclin and Elijah (Elias in WWE) may not have crossed paths in TNA Wrestling, but the two men are very familiar with each other.

During their time in NXT a decade ago, Maclin (Steve Cutler in WWE) and Elijah worked many live events against each other.

Speaking to Jeremy Lambert & Joel Pearl on Fightful's In The Weeds, Maclin reflected on being in promo class with Elijah in NXT.

"If you want to go back to the days of NXT and promo class, he and I have done a bunch of promo classes together where we would just have fun with certain things. We did one with Dusty [Rhodes] one time, and we were treating it as if we were in a car ride, and a few songs came on. ‘I Don’t Want to Miss A Thing’ [by Aerosmith] came on as the last song and it was the moment of Tommy Boy, ‘Are you gonna change it?’ ‘I’m not gonna change it,’ and we just started singing along to it. It was very entertaining. He’s somebody that it is fun to be on the road with now, especially at TNA, and seeing him flourish. He got the shaft, kind of like a lot of others where you didn’t expect it from one company. He’s such an entertaining person and he has so much to give to wrestling," said Maclin.

Elijah will team with Joe Hendry against Trick Williams & Frankie Kazarian at TNA Under Siege.

Elsewhere during the interview, Maclin commented on Eric Young being a ghost. You can find his full comments here.
