Kenny Omega Says AEW's Women's Division Is His Main Focus Above His Career And Side Projects

Kenny Omega doubles down on his passion for the AEW women's division.

Kenny Omega, outside of his own career, also has many responsibilities as an EVP of AEW. One of his main responsibilities concerns the women's division of AEW. Because of the limited number of matches and limited time in the ring for women on AEW Dynamite, the division sometimes comes under a lot of criticism from fans.

Outside of his responsibilities with the women's division, Kenny Omega is also helping lead the charge for AEW’s video game development and has outside projects such as his recently released supplements.

In a new interview with Yahoo, Kenny Omega promised that the women of All Elite Wrestling remain his main focus, no matter what it is he does in his career or how many promotions he is working for simultaneously.

“It’s always been challenging because you always have so many talented women, and as talented as they are, there’s always going to be this very small window of time to tell stories with,” Omega said. “I truly believe to this day that women deserve more time, deserve their own show, center stage — I would love at some point as time goes by and more AEW content becomes available, that is the ultimate goal.

“Until then, we have to take those baby steps and every one of them has to be a home run. No matter what I do in wrestling or video games or side projects that I undertake, my main goal is to help women’s wrestling to get that chance in AEW and show how talented and hungry they are.”

The division will be taking a step forward when the Women's Eliminator Tournament kicks off. Kenny Omega won the men’s tournament and was revealed to be the brain behind the tournament concept, to begin with.
