NXT's Rinku Singh Says He Wants To Become India's First WWE Tag Team Champion

Rinku Singh discusses his goals in WWE.

Retired professional baseball player Rinku Singh decided to venture into the land of professional wrestling once he hung up his cleats. He signed with WWE in January of 2018 along with fellow Indian-born NXT talent Saurav Gurjar. Singh made his NXT in-ring debut in May of 2018 and from that point he has been working the NXT live event loop in Florida.

There were WWE tryouts held in India earlier this month and prior to that, Singh chatted with 'Mid-day.com' to promote those tryouts. Singh was asked by the outlet what inspired him to pursue a career in WWE and he responded with the following:

"My inspiration was the power that the WWE Universe gave me to share my story with the world. WWE gave me the chance to become a role model to all the kids around the globe." He said. "Apart from that, the biggest inspiration for me to join WWE was John Cena."

When asked about the goals that he wants to accomplish in the sports-entertainment company, Singh simply stated that he wants to become the first WWE Tag Team Champion to hail from India.

"I want to become India's first WWE Tag Team Champion. After that is achieved I can focus on a lot of other goals." He said.
