SmackDown After WrestleMania 36 Sees Slight Viewership Drop From Previous Week

SmackDown's first foray after WrestleMania sees small viewership decrease.

According to overnight numbers released by ShowBuzz Daily, the April 10 episode of SmackDown averaged 2.304 million viewers, down slightly from the 2.374 million viewers the April 3 episode averaged.

This week's episode was the first episode to feature Braun Strowman as WWE Universal Champion coming off his win over Goldberg at WWE WrestleMania 36. This episode also saw the debut of The Forgotten Sons from NXT, Money in the Bank qualifying matches set for next week's episode, and the return of Sheamus to competition for the first time since WWE moved to television to the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

In the 18-49 demographic, SmackDown averaged 0.6 rating, the same as last week's episode. This week's show was the first to not feature any vintage match re-airs in weeks.

Hour 1: 2.372 million viewers, 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic
