Ring of Honor Episode 292 Results Marty Scurll VS Frankie Kazarian ROH TV Title Match & More!

-Christopher Daniels comes out and talks about how Cody Rhodes attacked him at the end of Supercard of Honor before Cody comes out to the ramp. Cody asks why he can't get a title shot tonight, then says that it won't happen tonight because it's not worth it to compete for the title in Baltimore, Maryland. Cody says he'd like to do it at the War of the Worlds PPV at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Cody says that as long as Daniels is champion, ROH has integrity and talks about what it would be like if a part-timer like himself became champion. Cody then leaves before Daniels plays to the crowd, holding the belt up high as we go to commercial.

Lio Rush vs Shane Taylor

They exchange words, then strikes before Shane kicks him away and Lio sends him over the top rope when he rushes at him. Lio misses a baseball slide and Shane hits him with a knee before Lio goes for a huricanrrana, but Taylor catches him and catches him again when he goes for a springboard cross body. Taylor then rams Lio into the ring post and the apron as we go to commercial.

Lio comes back with a series of forearms and chops in the corner before Shane whips him across the ring and he is sent end over end before Taylor hits him with a running back elbow for a quick two count. Lio does plenty of flips, then hits Taylor with a series of spinning kicks into a DDT for a near fall. Lio knocks Caprice off of the apron before diving through the ropes, then gets back in and Shane turns him inside out with a lariat before finishing with a sit-out choke bomb for the pin and the win.

Winner: Shane Taylor via pinfall

John Skyler vs Josh Woods Top Prospect Tournament Finals

They exchange wrist locks to start the match, then Josh takes John down before John gets back up and puts Josh in a headlock. Josh gets out and puts a straight armbar on John before sending him out of the ring with an enzuigiri. John gets back in the ring and drops Josh with a kick to the gut before stomping and pushing him out of the ring as we go to commercial.

We see how Skyler bent Josh around the ring post during commercial, then hits a senton before playing to the crowd for a one count. Skyler misses another senton and gets put into an armbar that turns into a triangle choke before John counters into a pin attempt for a quick two count. Josh hits John with a series of knees and a kitchen sink into a belly to belly suplex for a near fall. Josh hits a step up enzuigiri in the corner, then puts John on the top rope before John counters with an attempt at Southern Salvation before Woods hits a springboard roundhouse kick that sends John to the apron. They try to suplex each other on the apron, then John spears Josh on the apron before hitting a slingshot spear for a near fall.

Josh hits him with a knee when he goes for another spear through the ropes and Josh hits a variation of a GTS for a near fall. John superkicks Josh when he comes off of the ropes for another near fall, then Josh rolls him up before hitting a German suplex into an armbar for the tap and the win.

Winner: Josh Woods via submission

-David Star attacks Josh after the match and gets on the mic and congratulates him before introducing himself to the crowd. Star goes through his laundry list of nicknames before leaving as we go to commercial.

Marty Scurll vs Frankie Kazarian ROH World Title Match

They exchange wrist locks and hammerlocks before Marty mocks Frankie and shoves him. Frankie drops Marty with a shoulder block, then Marty counters a dropkick before playing to the crowd. Marty goes out of the ring and gets hit with a guillotine leg drop and an implant DDT to the floor as we go to commercial.

We see that Marty regained control during the commercial, then they exchange wrist locks before Frankie drops Marty repeatedly with clotheslines into a hip toss neckbreaker combination. Frankie hits a backstabber into a killswitch for a near fall, then an inverted fisherman's suplex for another two count. Marty drags Frankie down and stomps on his elbow before kicking the legs of Kaz out when he goes for a springboard move. Frankie counters a chicken wing into a bridging pin for a quick two count, then Marty hits a brainbuster for a near fall. Marty rolls out of the ring and grabs him umbrella before Kaz hits a slingshot cutter for a near fall. Marty snaps the fingers of Kaz, then plays to the crowd before Frankie grabs the umbrella and Marty gets a handful of powder, hitting the referee with it before Kaz hits an Ace of Spades. Marty goes for the chicken wing, but Kaz counters and rolls him up before Marty kicks him off, then Adam Page hits him with a chair where the new referee can't see it for the pin and the win.

Winner: Marty Scurll via pinfall

-After the match Marty celebrates his victory and says he came to ROH for competition and that he's beaten them all and that there is no competition before Matt Sydal comes out to the ring and challenges for the title as we go off of the air.
