WWE NXT Results for 3/6/19 The 2019 Dusty Classic Begins

Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage of tonight's edition of WWE NXT! We hope you enjoy the show with the kick off of this year's Dusty Classic Tag Team Tournament!

Dusty Classic Tournament Opening Round Match

Booker T: Trick Williams' NXT Title Run Will Catapult Him To Being Totally Ready For The Main Roster

Aleister Black & Ricochet vs European Union

Aleister and Fabian dusty the match by exchanging wrist locks and head locks before Marcel comes in and Aleister hits a kitchen sink into a running knee for a quick two count. Marcel escapes an armbar, but nearly knocks Aleister out with a European uppercut when he catches Black coming off of the top for a two count. EU start with frequent tags and cut the ring in half, keeping Black isolated from Ricochet who's desperate to get into the match. Marcel sends Ricochet off of the apron before Aleister rocks Fabian with a boot and tags in Ricochet who takes out both members of the EU with innovative offense. Ricochet hits a tiger crane kick into a springboard European uppercut and a standing shooting star press for a near fall.

Marcel catches Ricochet up top and Fabian hits a jackhammer into an Asai moonsault for a near fall. Ricochet hits a rolling dropkick that sends Fabian out of the ring before Marcel kicks him in the back from the apron and Fabian hits a diving tornado DDT for a near fall. EU put Black in the tree of woe before Black hits a jumping stomp and Ricochet hits a springboard frankensteiner into a suicide dive. Black then hits Fabian with the Black Mass for the pin and the win.

Winner: Aleister Black and Ricochet defeat the European Union via pinfall when Aleister pins Fabian with the Black Mass to advance to the semifinals of the Dusty Classic.

Dusty Classic Tournament Opening Round Match

Forgotten Sons vs Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch

Danny and Steve kick off the match with Steve chopping Danny before Danny takes him down and wrings his arm before tagging Oney in. Wesley gets the blind tag and hits a spinning backbreaker before he starts focusing on the back and Steve tags himself in. Steve whips Oney into the corner and FS hit a double backbreaker for a two count before Wesley applies a rear chin lock. Oney gets to his feet and tags in Danny who drops Wesley with several clotheslines before hitting a shotgun dropkick to Steve before Danny hits a double German suplex. Oney and Danny go for a magic killer, but Wesley tosses Danny out of the ring before Oney rocks Steve with a European uppercut.

Steve turns Oney inside out with a lariat before hitting a butterfly backbreaker for a near fall before locking in a Boston crab. Danny headbutts Steve before Danny gets the tag to become the legal man and FS hit a missile dropkick flat liner for a near fall. Oney gets the tag and chops both Steve and Wesley before FS run into each other and Oney hits a double blockbuster and tags Danny back in. Danny and Oney then hit a spike DDT for a near fall that Wesley breaks up before FS hit a diving stomp into a reverse DDT for the pin and the win.

Winner: The Forgotten Sons defeat Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch when they pin Oney with a combination diving stomp and a reverse DDT to advance to the semifinals of the Dusty Classic.

-Velveteen Dream comes out and stands on the announce table and shows off his new belt before saying that he is the new NXT North American champion before he's interrupted by Matt Riddle. Matt then comes out onto the stage and congratulates him before seemingly challenging him for the belt, but Dream makes the lights go off except for a spotlight on him as we go to commercial.

Moustache Mountain vs Street Profits

Tyler and Montez start the match by chain grappling, Montez stuck in a side headlock applied by Tyler for several minutes before Tyler hits a monkey flip and Montez lands on his feet. Angelo runs over Tyler when he gets the blind tag and takes Tyler down to the mat before Tyler rocks him with an enzuigiri and tags Trent in. Tyler hits a swanton bomb off of Trent's shoulders for a two count before Angelo comes back with a clothesline and SP stomp on him in the corner. Ford chops Trent and kicks him in the midsection for a two count before locking in a cravat, Trent getting to his feet, but Montez immediately hits a snapmare and reapplies it. Trent chops Montez and hits a snap DDT before tagging in Tyler as Angelo gets the tag on the opposite side.

Tyler hits a diving European uppercut into a running European uppercut before Trent launches Ford over the top when he breaks up a near fall. Angelo spears Tyler for a near fall that Trent breaks up before Ford takes out Trent at ringside and Angelo hits a spine buster before Montez hits a frog splash for a near fall. Tyler then hits a dead lift German suplex to Angelo and tags in Trent before Trent hits a burning hammer as Tyler hits a diving knee for the pin and the win.

Winner: Moustache Mountain defeat the Street Profits via pinfall to advance to the semifinals of the Dusty Classic.

Dusty Classic Tournament Opening Round Match

Undisputed Era vs DIY

Johnny and Bobby get the match going with a series of counters until Johnny hits a hip toss and Bobby tags Kyle in. Ciampa gets the tag and hits a snapmare before starting to focus on the arm of Kyle before Fish comes back in and Ciampa stomps him down in the corner. Fish drives Johnny into his corner and tags in Kyle before Ciampa gets the blind tag and Johnny hits a suicide dive before Ciampa hits a hangman's neckbreaker for a two count. Johnny comes in and Bobby sends him out onto the apron before Kyle gets the tag and sweeps the legs of Johnny. Bobby hits a snap suplex for a two count and tags Kyle back in before Kyle locks in a knee bar, Johnny getting to the ropes for the break.

Bobby hits a slingshot senton for a two count and drops Johnny with kicks before Kyle hits a running knee in the corner and Johnny fights his way out of UE's corner. Kyle hits several butterfly suplexes before UE hit a wheelbarrow DDT into a release German suplex, Bobby applying a rear chin lock before fish hooking Johnny and Johnny takes out both members of Undisputed Era. Ciampa finally gets the tag and sends Bobby off of the apron with a knee before he hits a running clothesline in the corner into a running knee and a draping cutter for a near fall. Kyle goes for a heel hook that Ciampa muscles out of with a series of German suplexes and a blue thunderbomb for a near fall. Johnny comes in and hits a slingshot spear before Kyle locks in a guillotine choke and Johnny gets to his feet before Ciampa hits a running knee for a near fall.

Kyle and Johnny exchange strikes until Kyle hits a rebound clothesline and they collapse onto the mat. Ciampa and Fish come in and Fish ends up on the apron before Fish counters an attempted German suplex onto the floor before Fish catches Ciampa on the top turnbuckle. Bobby hits an avalanche Michinoku driver before Kyle hits a diving knee, Kyle locking in a submission on Ciampa that Johnny breaks up by sending Bobby into them before Kyle sends Ciampa into the chairs at ringside. Back in the ring Ciampa hits a draping DDT and Johnny a DDT of his own for a near fall before DIY hit Meet in the Middle for the pin and the win.

Winner: DIY defeat Undisputed Era via pinfall when they hit Kyle with Meet in the Middle to advance to the semifinals of the Dusty Classic.

-After the match the NXT Tag Team champions War Raiders come out into the ramp and hold their titles in the air while staring DIY down as we go off the air.
