This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE Smackdown! Live! Tonight in our main event we have John Cena facing off against Baron Corbin, The Wyatt Family look to get back in the title picture and Nikki Bella finally gets her hands on Natalya! -We open with a video package for Dean Ambrose and The Miz, showing how Dean became the new WWE Intercontinental Champion. We then open in the arena with Dean hosting an edition of The Ambrose Asylum. Dean says he's going to enter the Royal Rumble then introduces The Miz. Miz says that every day Dean has the WWE Intercontinental title that he's blemishing the belt then Miz says that he's going to enter the Royal Rumble as well. Miz asks Dean to give him the belt that he believes Dean wrongfully won, Dean giving Miz are participation award rather than the belt. Miz then attacks Dean then Maryse misses a slap to Dean. Dean then hits Miz with Dirty Deeds before leaving.
-We then get a video package for the Nikki Bella and Natalya match later tonight then Natalya attacks her backstage as we go to commercial.
-Natalya and Nikki fight as soon as they get out to the ring then they beat on each other in the ring. Natalya tries to leave, but Nikki throws her to the floor then puts her back into the ring. They then fight as referees have to come out and break them up. Natalya then puts a sharpshooter on Nikki on the ramp before she's sent to the back.
-We then have an interview segment with Dolph Ziggler who says nothing as we go to commercial.
Kalisto vs Dolph Ziggler
Kalisto kicks Dolph immediately then hits a head scissor that sends him to the outside. Dolph comes back in and they exchange holds before Dolph gets a quick 2 count, Dolph following up with a spinning neckbreaker for another quick 2 count. Dolph puts an arm submission on Kalisto, rolling him up for another quick 2 count then Kalisto hits a backslide for a quick 2 count of his own. Dolph drops Kalisto with a back elbow then Kalisto goes for a springboard move, but Dolph pulls him throat first into the ropes, Kalisto going to the floor as we go to commercial.
Dolph is in control as we come back from commercial, having a headlock on Kalisto then rolling him up for a series of 2 counts. Kalisto then gets out of it and gets a close 2 count on Dolph before Dolph dropkicks him for a close 2 count of his own. Kalisto then gets a rolling crucifix for the pin and the win.
Winner: Kalisto via pinfall
-After the match Dolph beats on Kalisto then grabs a chair, hitting him with it repeatedly before Apollo Crews comes out. Crews puts Dolph back in the ring, but Dolph catches him coming in then Dolph hits him with the chair repeatedly.
-We then have American Alpha interviewed backstage about their title defense against The Wyatt Family. Jason says that they are the only alphas in the tag division and that they're confident, not cocky. AA then say that they'll walk out champions, saying that no one can hang with them or take their belts, but you cannot.
-We come back to a John Cena interview segment, Cena talking about his match against Baron Corbin tonight. Cena then says that he is not a has-been as much as AJ Styles and Corbin would like to say he is, finishing by saying that his time is now.
The Wyatt Family vs American Alpha WWE Tag Team Championship Match
Bray aggressively goes after Chad as we start the match then Jordan gets tagged in and dropkicks Bray before Jordan gets a quick 1 count on Bray. Randy gets tagged in and he focuses on the left arm of Jordan, kicking at it then Chad is tagged in. Chad takes Randy down then Randy tags Bray back in, Bray going for Sister Abigail, but Chad counters for a close 2 count then Chad hits a blockbuster that sends Bray to the floor. Bray hits a cross body once they're back in the ring for a quick 2 count then Bray sends Chad back first onto the barricade repeatedly before rolling him back into the ring. Randy gets a quick 2 count then tags Bray back in, doing frequent tags, keeping Chad from his corner. Bray hits a gut buster for a quick 2 count then puts a side headlock on Chad. Chad tries to get out, but Bray throws him down then tags in Randy who hits a slingshot suplex for a close 2 count. Bray is tagged back in, Chad hitting a jawbreaker then tagging in Jordan who hits both Bray and Randy with suplexes before shoulder tackling them both for a close 2 count. Randy hangs Jordan on the ropes, Jordan falling to the floor as we go to commercial.
We come back to Randy with a headlock on Jason as we recap what happened before the break. Jason is fingertips away from Chad, but Randy keeps him away, choking him in the corner then tagging in Bray again who splashes into Jordan for a close 2 count. Bray follows up with a running senton for another close 2 count then Jason knocks Bray down with a clothesline. Jason tags in Chad as Randy is tagged back in, Chad tagging out Bray on the apron then hits a nothern lights suplex on Randy. Gable then hits a dead lift German suplex for a close 2 count then Chad hits a diving clothesline for another close 2 count. Randy pokes Chad in the eye then hits the drapping DDT, Harper distracting Randy then Chad knocks Randy into him, Chad rolling Randy up for the pin and the win.
Winner: American Alpha via pinfall
-After the match Bray tries to keep them calm, but gets hit in the crossfire. Bray then says something to both of them before leaving as we go to commercial.
Carmella vs CJ Lunde
They lock up to start the match then Carmella drops her repeatedly. Carmella then stomps on CJ in the corner before hitting the bronco buster for a quick 1 count. Carmella then drops her with a forearm for another quick 1 count then puts on The Code of Silence for the tap and the win.
Winner: Carmella via submission
-AJ Styles is seen backstage with Baron Corbin before he comes out for the main event, telling him to go beat him up.
Baron Corbin vs John Cena
Corbin throws Cena around the ring then tosses him to the outside as we go to commercial, Corbin showing off his strength.
Cena tries to lift up Corbin, but can't then Corbin hits him with a series of right hands before fight around the ring then Corbin hits a powerslam on Cena once they're back in for a close 2 count. Corbin drops Cena repeatedly with a series of right hands and back drops then Cena comes back with a tornado DDT. Cena hits the five knuckle shuffle then the Attitude Adjust for the pin and the win.
Winner: John Cena via pinfall
