Triple H On The Possibility Of Kurt Angle Wrestling For WWE Again

With Kurt Angle finally back in the WWE fold after eleven years away, fans have immediately begun to ponder the possibility of an in-ring return for the soon to be Hall of Famer. While Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative Triple H won't rule out a return for his old rival, he concedes that there's certainly some roadblocks standing in the way.

"Yeah, but I think that we were very clear with Kurt, I've been very clear with Kurt in every conversation on this topic, it's a proving ground, right? So he did a lot of great things and there's a lot of time under the table, a lot of baggage, all those things," Triple H told the Cheap Heat Podcast. "It just comes back down to, 'let's get together - let's see how it goes. If it goes well for you and it goes well for us, and everything is great, then, we see where it goes from there."

"We're not going to say, 'never'. Kurt would have to go through a lot of physical requirements to be able to be allowed to return to the ring. And I know that angers fans, but that's us looking after the wellbeing of talent in general whether they like that or dislike that. That's the facts."

Whether we ever see the Olympic Gold Medalist back inside a WWE ring again or not, we do know that he will be inducted into the Hall of Fame by John Cena next week. It should also be noted that an in-ring return isn't the only option for Angle of course, who many feel could be brought back in a general manager role. Regardless, there seems to be a sense of genuine excitement for Angle back under the WWE banner and time will tell what comes of it.
