The biggest event in Ring of Honor history is upon us, as is one of the biggest events in the history of NJPW outside of Japan.
The two promotions have sold out the famed Madison Square Garden, after decades of it only playing host to WWE wrestling events. It wasn't without some help, as it's on WrestleMania weekend and the majority of tickets were sold when the companies still had access to several major members of the newly formed All Elite Wrestling group.
However, the company is bringing a major card to the historic venue. Already confirmed are huge championship matches for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and the ROH World Championship, respectively. "Switchblade" Jay White and "The Villain" Marty Scurll will both compete in top title matches.
NJPW and Ring of Honor will clash at the show, when the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Guerrillas of Destiny compete for the ROH World Tag Team Championships in a winner takes all match.
In addition to the aforementioned matches, a big Junior Heavyweight Championship bout takes place as Taiji Ishimori will defend his IWGP strap in a bit of a dream match against Dragon Lee and Bandido.
Also announced for the event is an Honor Rumble, a Royal Rumble-style battle royal match.
